The Final Electoral Roll has been published on 05.01.2017 in 9 Assembly
Constituencies in Tiruchirappalli District.
The
Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2017 had commenced on 01.09.2016
with qualifying date as 01.01.2017 for enrolment in the Electoral Rolls. The final Electoral Roll was published by the
District Election Officer and District Collector in the presence of
representatives of recognized political parties on 05.01.2017 at District
Collector’s Office, Tiruchirappalli.
There
are 10,73,057 male electors, 11,24,273
female electors and 180 trans genders with a total of 21,97,510 electors in the
Electoral Rolls published on 05.01.2017. After draft Electoral Roll which was
published on 01.09.2016, 23,349 male electors, 26,784 female electors and 24
trans-genders with a total of 51057 have been newly enrolled as voters in the
final Electoral Rolls. 2661 male electors, 3123 female
electors (totally 5784 electors) have been deleted from the final Electoral
Rolls.
A copy of Electoral
Roll will be available for verification in the office of the Electoral
Registration Officers/ Assistant Electoral Registration Officers from
05.01.2017. Electors may check their
entries in the Electoral Rolls.
Electoral Photo Identification Card (EPIC) will be issued to the young voters on National Voters Day
i.e. 25.1.2017 at the concerned Polling Stations.
Those who would complete the age of 18 as on
1.1.2017, who are yet to be enrolled in the Electoral Roll, may submit Form-6 for inclusion, Form-7 for
deletion, Form-8 for correction and Form-8A for address change within Assembly
Constituencies from 05.01.2017 onwards to Electoral Registration Officers /
Assistant Electoral Registration Officers during the continuous updation of
Electoral Rolls.
