Text of the D.O. letter dated 22.7.2016 of Selvi J Jayalalithaa,
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu addressed to  Shri Harish Rawat,  Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Dehradun.

“As you are aware, the issue of the installation of the Statue of the revered Tamil Sage Poet Thiruvalluvar at Haridwar had been causing considerable disquiet in Tamil Nadu. I had also written to the Prime Minister on this issue.

I am grateful that you have responded speedily and positively to the outpouring of sentiments by the people of Tamil Nadu on this sensitive issue. I am happy to learn that you have arranged for the installation of the statue of Thiruvalluvar in the premises of Mela Bhavan in Haridwar.

On behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu, I thank you for your prompt and positive action.”
